TUIK announced Poultry Production data for December 2019.
In December 2019, chicken meat production increased by 7,4%, the number of slaughtered chicken by 4,9%, chicken egg production by 1,7%, turkey meat production increased by 0,1% compared to the same month of the previous year. In January-December period, chicken egg production increased by 1,3% compared to the same period of the previous year, chicken meat production decreased by 0,8%, the number of slaughtered chicken decreased by 1,7%, and turkey meat production decreased by 14,2%.
According to the seasonally and calendar adjusted series, chicken meat production increased by 2% compared to the previous month. According to the calendar adjusted series, chicken meat production increased by 4,5% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In December, the number of slaughtered chickens increased by 9,1% compared to the previous month, 104 million pieces, chicken egg production increased by 3,6%, 1,7 billion pieces and turkey meat production increased by 12,3% to 5 thousand 965 tons.
