TUIK announced Milk and Dairy Production data for December 2019.

The amount of cow milk collected in December compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 1.4%, while in the January-December period, it decreased by 4.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The amount of collected cow milk, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, increased by 0,9% in December compared to the previous month. The amount of collected cow's milk, adjusted for calendar effect, increased by 1% in December compared to the same month of the previous year.

Cow milk fat rate collected by commercial dairy enterprises in December was 3,5% on average and protein rate was 3,2% on average.

Drinking milk production made by commercial milk enterprises increased by 0,4% in December compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 141 thousand 301 tons. In the January-December period, the production of drinking milk decreased by 7,3% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 1 million 540 thousand 122 tons.

Yoghurt production made by commercial dairy enterprises decreased by 1% in December compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 1 million 181 thousand 205 tons in January-December period, decreasing by 1,5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
