TUIK announced its foreign trade indices for December 2019.

Compared to December 2018, export unit value index decreased by 5,4% in food, beverage and tobacco.

The export unit value index decreased by 1,1% in December compared to the same month of the previous year. The index increased by 5,4% in food, beverage and tobacco and 7,4% in fuels compared to the same month of the previous year, while 2,0% in raw materials (excluding fuel) and 2,1% in manufacturing industry (excluding food, beverage, tobacco) decreased.

The export unit value index decreased by 2.0% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The index decreased by 4.2% in 2019 compared to the previous year.
 

Export quantity index increased by 2,0% in food, beverage and tobacco compared to December 2018

The export quantity index increased by 7,4% in December compared to the same month of the previous year. The index increased by 2.0% in food, beverage and tobacco, 40.0% in fuels and 6.3% in manufacturing industry (excluding food, beverage, tobacco) compared to the same month of the previous year, 1.0% in raw materials (excluding fuel) decreased.

The export quantity index increased by 3,9% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The index increased by 6.8% in 2019 compared to the previous year.

Import unit value index decreased by 6,3% in food, beverage and tobacco compared to December 2018

The import unit value index decreased by 6,2% in December compared to the same month of the previous year. Index decreased by 6,3% in food, beverage and tobacco, 17,4% in raw materials (excluding fuel), 6,5% in fuel and 6,1% in manufacturing industry (excluding food, beverage, tobacco) compared to the same month of the previous year .
 
The import unit value index decreased by 6,7% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The index decreased by 4.5% in 2019 compared to the previous year.

Imports quantity index increased by 50,3% in food, beverage and tobacco compared to December 2018
