The “Regulation on the Amendment of Welfare and Protection of Animals during the Transportation of Animals" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry” published in the Official Gazette dated 31.12.2019 and numbered 30995 The provisions of the present Regulation added provisions on the conditions of transport of bovine animals and sheep-goat animals and the application of the rules to be complied by transporters in the transport of poultry.
Herein after, the transporter authorization certificate and driver-caregiver qualification certificate will be sought in the transportation of poultry.
According to the amendment, the process of transition to the regulation, which necessitates the control of animals for long journeys, the fulfillment of feed and water needs, housing and resting, was postponed to the end of 2021.
The time allowed for the transition of the vehicles used in animal transport with the GPS system was extended until 31 December 2021.
