    (24.03.2020 . 19:22:31) (Okuma: 98)

President of the Istanbul Commodity Exchange Ali Kopuz evaluated the support packages announced by the banks due to the economic effects of the coronavirus epidemic, "It is promising that private banks will also release support packages after the public".

Chairman of the Istanbul Commodity Exchange Ali Kopuz pointed out that we have experienced a process unlike any crisis experienced in the modern period, and state banks have important supports in the “Economic Stability Shield” decisions, which announced by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and includes the coronavirus precautions. Mr. President, while explaining these supports, advised private banks to make similar supports. Following this call, it is promising for many banks to explain their support packages. If the banks see these support packages as public relations activities, their customers will not be the only who are damaged. The epidemic will of course end. Banks that did not provide their customers with sufficient support on will have lost great prestige. ”

Emphasizing that I believe that private banks should give more importance to businesses, President of İSTİB Ali Kopuz said, “Everybody should keep in mind that all end consumers are working in a business. Restructuring the debt of an end consumer loses its meaning when it loses its job.”
