    (25.01.2024 . 16:54:27) (Okuma: 348)

İSTİB President Ali Kopuz attended the "Türkiye-Iran Business Forum" held at the Presidential Complex within the scope of Iranian President İbrahim Reisi's visit to Türkiye.

Making the opening speech of the meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said; "Therefore, Türkiye and Iran, as two major regional powers, must definitely advance the economic cooperation between them for prosperity, development and stability. With this understanding, we continue our determination to reach the 30 billion dollar trade target that we set with Iran in the past."

TOBB Vice President Ali Kopuz gave information about TOBB's structure and activities in his speech, he emphasized that Türkiye and Iran are two neighbors with deep historical and cultural past. İSTİB President Kopuz stated that the understanding achieved at the level of leaders in relations creates important cooperation opportunities for the business world. The economic and commercial relations between Türkiye and İran were negatively affected by sanctions and the epidemic. Still, in 2022 and 2023, bilateral trade returned to pre-pandemic levels. However, we are further away from the trade volume target that set by our leaders. He said that "We think that the Preferential Trade Agreement between our countries is very important in achieving this goal.”
