TOBB Vice President and ISTIB President Ali Kopuz attended the “3. Energy and Natural Resources Summit of Turkey”. The summit, which was opened by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, was organized by Turkuvaz Media Group and Para Magazine.
Speaking at the summit Minister Dönmez discussed the developments in the energy sector, "We're buying our third drill ship from United Kingdom, I would say it would be in Turkey within a few weeks. Duty place will be the Black Sea," he said.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez reported that Turkey has 70 percent of the world's boron reserves and this share is around 60 percent of whole market.
Noting that there are various R&D studies on boron, Dönmez continued as follows:
"China is at a very advanced stage of lithium batteries. There are some good lithium related preliminary findings. There is some lithium in the boron. In the last quarter of the year, we can build a pilot production facility that will ensure the recovery of lithium in the waste produced while producing boron. We also plan to purify and meet the needs of industrial raw materials. "
Within the scope of the "3. Energy and Natural Resources Summit of Turkey", Corporate Social Responsibility Projects of ten companies were awarded.
