    As of 1 January 2020, many important regulations were put into effect within the scope of the “Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Food Labeling and Informing Consumers’ published in the Official Gazette dated January 26, 2017 and numbered 29960.

     

    According to the regulation, it is obligatory to provide allergen information to the consumer for foodstuffs in restaurants, canteens, schools and hospitals which provide ready-to-eat meals as of January 1, 2020 and to make nutritional notifications in pre-packaged foods.
