ISTIB VICE CHAIRMAN HAKKI ISMET ARAL PARTICIPATED TO THE “2nd FOOD BANKING SUMMIT”.

ISTIB Vice Chairman Hakkı İsmet Aral attended the “Food Banking Summit” which organized for the second time this year.
At the summit held on February 20, 2020, Aral took part as a participant and a moderator, and gave information about the works related to “ISTIB Food Waste Project” in his presentation.
After his presentation, Aral was a moderator on the panel on "Prevention of Food Waste". As participants in the panel Chairman Prof. Turkey Foundation for Waste Reduction Dr. Aziz Akgül, “FAO Zero Waste Zero Hunger” project supporter and nutritionist Dilara Koçak, Sustainable Food Platform Representative - Uludağ Beverages Quality and R&D Manager Tuğba Şimşek was present.
ISTIB staff also attended the summit held at the Hilton Hotel. In order to draw attention to food waste and raise public awareness, the Istanbul Commodity Exchange created a working group consisting of Vice Chairman of the Board Hakkı İsmet Aral, Treasurer Recep Salih Al, Board Members Alaattin Altuntaş, Mehmet Beşir Kılıç and Ömer Tekinaslan and had started work on.
