    Istanbul Commodity Exchange commenced its activities within the scope of “Personal Data Protection Law” which was published in the Official Gazette dated April 7, 2016 and numbered 29677.

     

    Within the “Personal Data Protection Law”, a working team consisting of Istanbul Commodity Exchange personnel came together to carry out the determination studies throughout the Commodity Exchange. At the meeting held under the chairmanship of ISTIB General Secretary Sule Karadeniz, the working team was given general information about the law and a work plan was prepared.

     

    The Law on the Protection of Personal Data aims to regulate the processing of personal data, the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals in the processing of personal data, and the obligations and procedures and principles to be complied with by the real and legal persons who process personal data. In addition, it is aimed to collect personal data in an unrestricted and random manner, to make it accessible to unauthorized persons, and to prevent violations of personal rights as a result of misuse.
