Member of the Istanbul Commodity Exchange Council Member and Red Meat Trade Professional Committee Member Vet. Dr. Ahmet Yücesan made evaluations on the livestock and red meat sector in the Commodity Exchange program prepared under the moderation of Ahu Orakçıoğlu on Ekotürk TV.
Vet. Dr. Ahmet Yücesan provided information about the presence of animals in Turkey and had stated that Turkey has approximately 16-17 million bovines and 47 million ovines. Sharing the information that the annual meat production is around 1.1 million tons on average. Ahmet Yücesan said that all of this production is consumed domestically and if it is open from time to time, substitution is provided with imports.
