    Vice President of Istanbul Commodity Exchange Hakkı İsmet Aral was the guest of this week in the series of COVID-19 Conferences of TGDF Academy.

     

    Explaining the effects of the new coronavirus epidemic on the present and future of the legumes sector, Hakkı İsmet Aral said that legumes production in the world has exceeded 80 million tons and that legumes are consumed all over the world. 

     

    Hakkı İsmet Aral has been expressing that Turkey has very powerful potential of legumes and "Although our potential to the desired level in world trade could not come, unfortunately."

     

    After the epidemic, agriculture and, of course, the importance of legumes have increased and the approach to agriculture will change a lot. In this period, new, important steps are being taken. Turkey's territory very productive. If we act correctly, we can be the leading actor, especially in legumes. Now, work has been done on planting the entire land. This trial is very accurate. In addition, we should also work to increase efficiency. We import 12 billion dollars. By increasing exports, we should be able to put this money in the pocket of our own peasant. We must achieve this for the future of our country and our children. ”
