    ALI KOPUZ HAD A MEETING WITH MINISTER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF PAKISTAN

    TOBB Vice President and İSTIB President Ali Kopuz met with Gohar Ejaz at the 39th Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Economic and Commercial Cooperation Standing Committee (COMCEC).

    Stating that there are close relations between Turkey and Pakistan, President Kopuz said, "Despite this, the trade volume of around 1 billion dollars between our countries doesn’t make us happy."

    President Kopuz stated that a well-designed free trade agreement between Turkey and Pakistan that would benefit both countries would be beneficial and that the "Preferential Trade Agreement" that came into force was a good step.

    Stating that the visa application between two friendly countries is a serious obstacle to trade, Kopuz said that the business world should be saved from this visa problem.

    Gohar Ejaz Minister of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan said that, he was pleased with President Erdoğan's hosting and that they were very grateful for the interest shown by TOBB.

    Regarding the commercial cooperation between the two countries, he said, "We need to take action without delay."
